Dress Code

Students are expected to come to school in a manner that is school appropriate and learning ready. Cypress Hills Collegiate Prep High School’s Dress Code policy does not permit the following:

  1. Hats or caps (with the exception of headwear worn for religious observance). This includes a ski mask or a shiesty.
  2. Clothing that contains references to drugs, alcohol, sex, violence, racism, or gang-affiliation.
  3. Clothing that does not provide coverage of torso, shoulders, undergarments, and private body parts, including see-through garments of any kind.
    • Shorts/skirts must be at least the length of fingertips when arms rested at your sides, approximately mid-thigh.
    • Pants must remain at waist level and buttoned/securely fastened. 
    • Tops must not end more than two inches above the navel. 
  1.       4. Flip-flops.
  2.       5. Sunglasses while indoors.

Consequences for Dress Code Violation

If a student violates the dress code, the student must modify their appearance to abide by thedress code, i.e. adjust clothing, parent can bring change of clothing, or take clothing provided bythe school for the remainder of the school day. If a student continues to violate the dress code a parent/guardian must come to the school for a meeting to address the violations.
